52 year old Female Nanny“Charlotte” presented to our office complaining of numbness and tingling in both of her hands. These symptoms have been present for almost 2 years. She works as a nanny, lifting and carrying children often. She had previous success with a chiropractor but had not seen him in over 6 months. After a thorough examination and x-rays of the neck (showing degeneration and posture distortions), a trial of care was initiated. Her treatment consisted of massage, chiropractic adjustments and passive stretching of involved tight muscles. After two visits, her symptoms decreased dramatically. After a month of care she no longer experienced hand tingling. Now Charlotte performs recommended stretches and posture-correcting exercises weekly and continues with maintenance care about 1-2 times per month.
